Helping children access education is one of the most important ways to tackle poverty and bring childhood dreams to fruition. So, we’re encouraging Canadians to share their childhood dreams and inspire others to help more children get an education.

TSN’s James Duthie and his daughter, Gracie, shared their dreams on a recent trip to visit their sponsored child in Ethiopia. “We’re going to play a little game, Gracie,” he tells her in the video below. “Write down your dream. What did you want to be when you grew up? I’m going to do the same thing, then we’re going to guess.”

We encourage you to share your dream, too. visit childrenbelieve.ca/chalkboards-for-change (or email chalkboardsforchange@childrenbelieve.ca), submit your childhood dream in the form provided, be entered in a draw to win a trip for two to see our work, then spread the word on social media, using the hashtag #ChalkboardsforChange. Dreams collected from Canadians will be shared with children in our supported communities, inspiring them to dream big.

Watch the video to hear Duthie’s dream and the dreams of children we’re helping in Ethiopia.

Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
