How we’re remaining focused on Global Goals for a better world

Hands in circle

Unity for change: watch now!

The United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development were conceived five years ago to mobilize the world to work together to create a more equitable, sustainable future for all. And, as the pandemic changes our lives, it’s even more important to come together to help reduce poverty, improve equality and foster quality education, among other goals.

The Kid President explains it well in the video below. “In the lunchroom of the world, there shouldn’t be a cool table,” he says. “Nope. The whole lunchroom should be one big cool table — a big table, a table where everybody’s invited, where everybody has a seat, where everybody has enough.”

The supporters at Children Believe make it possible for us to continue in this mission through the pandemic, so we can continue to help communities thrive; advance child rights and protection; promote equality for girls; and partner with children for change, so children can access an education and create a better future for themselves and others.

Watch the video below as the Kid President shares more about the importance of the Global Goals, and visit childrenbelieve.ca/covid-19 to find out how you can help today.

About Children Believe

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.

About Childfund Alliance:

A member of ChildFund Alliance, Children Believe is part of a global network of child-focused development organizations working to create opportunities for children and youth, their families and communities. ChildFund helps nearly 23-million children and their families in 70 countries overcome poverty and underlying conditions that prevent children from achieving their full potential. We work to end violence against children; provide expertise in emergencies and disasters to ease the harmful impact on children and their communities; and engage children and youth to create lasting change and elevate their voices in decisions that affect their lives.
