Report finds children don’t feel heard

Video gives kids from around the world, including Canada, a chance to share viewpoint

More than 40 percent of children around the world don’t feel safe from violence, and one in two don’t think adults listen to them about important matters, according to a new report from the ChildFund Alliance, a global network of child-focused organizations, including Christian Children’s Fund of Canada.

“I would tell adults to realize how much children are suffering,” one girl states in the video below, based on the report. A boy adds, “Adults must make efforts to ensure children are not hungry and thirsty.”

Watch the video to meet young people with strong opinions about how to end violence against children.

About Children Believe

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
