Watch a group of Indian singers share an uplifting message

As the second wave of COVID-19 continues to devastate lives in India, this week we’ve shared how hope is possible through kind donors sending financial supportcommunity leaders delivering oxygen, medicine and food and even inspiring videos like the one below, YouTuber Astrid Pereira’s India cover of “We Are The World.”

Astrid explains the context of video in her YouTube description. “Ten years ago a few friends of mine kindly agreed to help me make a ‘We Are The World’ India Cover. Unfortunately, we couldn’t fix it up at the edit table. Last year’s lockdown helped us revive this project, and here we are.”

The inspiring video comes during a tough time in India, and Children Believe is helping ensure children in our programs are safe. We’re providing food rations, cash vouchers and feminine hygiene products, among other activities such as working with governments and agencies to enhance vaccine rollout.

You can help, too. Donate today to keep children and their families in India safe, nourished and supported through the pandemic.

About Children Believe

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
